The Team Assignment

Our task for today was to form a group of four people that would create the typical group seen in multiple genres: The Leader, The Brawn, The Brains, The Wild Card


As for me, I took on the role to create the Wild Card first. 

My vision of a wildcard in a dnd/fantasy setting would be a rogue archetype. Rogue's are typically lone wolfs that tend to pull off underhanded moves or do the necessary things that other characters would struggle morally with.

I had done this task twice in fact as I took two of the same lessons, however this time around I created a leader instead. The theme being a much more cyberpunk-esque setting and so I instantly got to work as shown by the sketch below.

A thing to note for a leader is that they should stand out as such, possibly being an all-rounder type character but doesn't excel at everything in comparison to his peers but has his own unique traits. As for my leader, I gave him the vibe of someone who leads, his hand being out as if he was reaching for something. Only for it to be shown that he may be firing a sort of blast from his hand from the center of his palm.

Furthermore, because it's a cyberpunk setting, naturally the character would have cybernetic enhancement. For my Leader, I chose not to give him too many that would overwhelm his humanoid form, instead it seems to blend in well with his features but not change the body as a whole.

Real Worlds: Project Management

BRIEF: You will be working with Mantic Games in exploring the idea of translating their tabletop IP  Deadzone  into a digital sphere.  The project will consist of two parts - character design and environment design, and you will have the opportunity to explore whether to respond in 2D or 3D for each of these, presenting yourself as a specialist or generalist.
