Toolkit 2 2D Week 7 - Observational Drawing: Places and People

 

This week, we took the opportunity to draw the scenes in our view. Different people chose to draw the different floors of our building. However, for a challenge, I chose to draw out the window from the top floor as shown in the drawing above. I can definitely see my own struggles in the perspective, struggling to get the proportions of the buildings correct as I wondered 'Wait, there's also another structure in the same spot.'

I plan to practice more on scenery styled drawings as it is one of the skills I have been lacking in.


To add to this assignment, I went to the library and did quick drawings of the scene with students sat down. The difficulty in this is not only that I have to be quick as people do move naturally. But also the issue of causing some awkwardness if I was caught.

My character will wield a sledge hammer as it's primary melee weapon that can be used to break down surfaces and breach a whole new pathway. Whether it be a building or a barricade. The purpose is the force the enemy to retreat due to the dangers.

Toolkit 2 3D: Importing to Maya

 As of right now, I have finished the general mesh of the Rayden and created a turntable to display here: Afterwards, I had imported from Zbrush into Maya. NOTE: Make sure to merge layers before importing or else only the base layer will be there.
